Grant Hendrickson joined The Cat's Pajamas in July of 2007 and hasn't looked back since. Grant first took an interest in a cappella at the University of Wisconsin-Madison while singing with the MadHatters. He went onto direct the group for 3 years and it was there that he met The Cat's Pajamas co-founders Brian Skinner and Nate Mendl. Besides the MadHatters, Grant played trumpet in the UW Marching Band, sang in various choirs, had a lead role in the university opera and finished school with a degree in choral and general music education in 2005.
Upon graduation, Grant recorded a demo of original piano based pop/rock music and moved to Santa Monica where he lived for two years as a singer/songwriter/waiter. After playing the club circuit in Los Angeles for 2 years The Cat's Pajamas offered him a contract on Norwegian Cruise Line. From the first chord they harmonized together, Grant knew there was something special about The Cat's Pajamas. Since then, he has enjoyed singing all over the world whether it be on the streets of Florence, in the caves of Gibraltar, or in packed auditoriums on ships and land.
When not on stage, Grant enjoys playing golf, writing music, tickling the ivories, barbecuing, and spending time with his family and friends. |
